This store may need to come with a seizure warning. So Nicola Formichetti, the self-proclaimed panda-faced stylist of the fame monster known as Lady Gaga and fashion director of Vogue Hommes Japan, has put together the ultimate in novelty pop-up shops. As his PR team puts it on the fb invite:
"Offering new Nicopanda products and curated designs from the brands he loves, the shop will serve as a hub for users to upload their own content produced at the shop, achieving what Formichetti is calling their “15 mega- bytes of fame”. An in-house mini production studio will be available in half-hour sessions for shoppers to use however they wish. The content created in the studio sessions will then be edited down to 15MB and published on the Vice online platform.
The number 15 is echoed throughout the Nicopanda Ho Ho Ho pop- up experience. The shop will open at 3:15PM in the afternoon and close at 9:15PM each night. The shop will employ 15 drunken elves to help with customer service, wish fulfillment, and interactive amusement. The shop will be open for 15 days, each day contain- ing its own novelty experience, like a celebration of tacky sweaters, or the chance to have your fortune read, to name only two. Be the first to experience Nicopanda’s Ho Ho Ho pop-up holiday shop when it opens on Tuesday, December 10th."
